Once a year we offer a Shredding Day. If you missed it this year, do not fear. You are able to drop off a small quantity of shredding at our office any time you need. Shredding and Recycling Day 2011 October 1, 2011 8:30 am to 11:30 am Mennenga Tax & Financial Service Parking Lot Shred-It and Resource Solutions Corp. will be located in the main parking lot from 8:30 - 11:30 for our annual Shredding and Recycling Day! Bring any documents you do not need anymore and they will be shredded right before your eyes. Or if you have old electronics, you can drop them off and have them disposed of properly! We are trying to keep those items out of the landfills. (Is there a cost? click here) Tax Return & Documentation Retention: 7 years Double Check your Social Security Annual Summary before disgarding old W-2's or 1099's. You should check that the amount subject to Social Security on your Social Security Statement is the same number as Box 3 on your W-2. You don't want to rely on contacting old employers who may not be around anymore to get copies of your paystubs or W-2s!
